MP Jake Berry has welcomed news that Tockholes will be connected to a fibre optic cable within the next four to six weeks.
Superfast Lancashire have described connecting Tockholes as one of their most technically challenging projects in Lancashire with miles of network cabling to provide the main link from the Blackburn exchange.
There have also been many other challenges in co-ordinating their work with all the other suppliers required for this complex operation such as local Highways, Electricity and other providers.
MP Jake Berry has worked with local Councillors, Colin and Jean Rigby to ensure that despite the difficulties that superfast broadband is installed in Tockholess.
Commenting, Jake said:
‘I am delighted to be able to share this good news with the residents of Tockholes, after all our hard work and I hope that the work will proceed to schedule.
‘I have recently taken part in a debate around superfast broadband in Parliament and will continue working hard to ensure residents within Rossendale and Darwen have access to superfast broadband.’
‘I’m glad to see that the residents of Tockholes will no longer have to suffer from a slow unreliable internet connect.’
