The Poppy Appeal got off to a flying start as Rossendale MP Jake Berry volunteered his time to raise money in Bacup.
The Rossendale MP managed to raise over £50 for the Royal British Legion whilst selling poppies on Union Road.
“I was delighted to have had the opportunity to raise money for such a fantastic cause.
“It is really important that we recognise those who have given their lives in Service and those serving in the Armed Forces who keep the rest of us safe.
“I hope everyone has been wearing their poppies with pride so that the charity can continue to provide such vital support.”
