Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry has been overwhelmed by the number of locals getting behind his Pothole Patrol campaign.
Jake has asked locals to be on the look-out for the most pock-marked routes from Lower Darwen to Whitworth and has since been inundated with concerns.
The Government has already committed £3 billion towards the maintenance of the UK’s highways between 2012 and 2015 and Jake wants Rossendale to get its fair share of this funding.
“I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of people getting in touch about this problem – around 100 potholes have now been reported in Rossendale.
“A number of reported problems, including on Rockcliffe Drive in Bacup and Olive Lane in Darwen, have now been or are scheduled to be fixed.
“However I’m aware that there are quite a few that the council haven’t got round to looking at yet and I’m still waiting for a formal response.
“Please continue to let me of any particularly bad areas and I will do my best to make sure that they are repaired as soon as possible”
