Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry will be donning a moustache this month to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues.
Jake will be ditching his razor in support of the month-long Movember event and to raise cash for The Prostate Cancer Charity.
“Movember has helped change the way we see men’s health and I’m really proud to be part of it this year.
“My wife’s not particularly impressed by my effort so far and I’m hoping it will look more impressive in a couple of week’s time.
“I hope that my constituents will forgive me for looking a bit daft over the next few weeks as I attempt to ‘grow my mo’ and do my bit for such an important cause.”
Movember was first thought of by a group of friends in Melbourne and raises money for work to tackle prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men across the world.
Participants are knows as Mo Bros and are challenged to ‘grow their mo’ for the entire month from a clean shaven start.
